تریزول

TRIzol (also known as TRIzol reagent or Tri reagent) is a widely used reagent for the extraction of RNA, DNA, and proteins from biological samples. It is a mixture of phenol and guanidine isothiocyanate, enabling the simultaneous extraction of these macromolecules.

RNA Extraction: TRIzol is primarily used for total RNA extraction from a wide variety of biological samples. It is favored for its ability to stabilize RNA and efficiently separate it from other cellular components.
DNA Extraction: In addition to RNA, TRIzol is also used for genomic DNA extraction. After phase separation, DNA remains in the aqueous phase.
Protein Extraction: TRIzol can also be used to isolate proteins, which remain in the organic phase after extraction.
