بافر الایزا (برای تست توکسین وبا)
ELISA Buffer (for Cholera Toxin Test) is a specialized buffer solution formulated to optimize antigen-antibody interactions and reduce nonspecific binding in ELISA assays detecting cholera toxin.
🏭⚗️ Production
This buffer is commonly prepared using phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) at pH 7.4, supplemented with 0.05% to 0.1% Tween-20 as a detergent to reduce background noise. Sometimes, 1-3% bovine serum albumin (BSA) or other blocking agents are added to further prevent nonspecific binding. The buffer is sterilized by filtration and stored refrigerated.
🔬 Properties
The buffer is clear, colorless, and isotonic, maintaining physiological pH and ionic strength. Tween-20 acts as a surfactant to minimize nonspecific protein-protein interactions, while BSA blocks free binding sites. This combination improves assay sensitivity and specificity.
🧪 Applications
Used in ELISA procedures for coating, washing, and diluting reagents when detecting cholera toxin. It enhances the accuracy and reproducibility of the assay by stabilizing proteins and reducing background interference, critical for reliable toxin detection.
⚠️ Safety
Generally safe for laboratory use but handle with standard precautions. Avoid ingestion and contact with eyes or skin. Use gloves and practice good laboratory hygiene. Store buffer refrigerated and avoid contamination.
