CAUTION – Chromic Acid is a toxic and corrosive solvent and is a known
carcinogen(1).Do not allow the solution to come into contact with you or
your clothing, for it will cause very bad burns. Protective gloves and safety
glasses are required when handling chromic acid. If any is spilled on the
floor or desk, neutralize it immediately with commercial-grade sodium
bicarbonate (baking soda) then wash completely with water .If it is spilled
on the skin, wash in running water immediately. The solution may be
repeatedly used until the reddish color of dichromate has been replaced by
the green color of the chromic ion (2).In a small beaker, just cover the glass
sample containers with chromic acid cleaning solution. Allow to stand at
room temperature for 20 min. Decant the cleaning solution from the
mechanical parts and return the used chromic acid cleaning solution to its
storage bottle. Wash the sample containers at least six times with tap water
and finally with distilled water Dry the sample containers as described
above and store in a desiccator for future use

Sulfochromic Acid is a highly oxidative acidic cleaning reagent used for removing persistent organic residues from laboratory glassware, providing strong oxidizing action and effective surface decontamination in controlled laboratory environments.

🏭⚗️ Production
Prepared under strictly controlled industrial conditions due to its highly corrosive and oxidizing nature. Each batch is monitored for acid strength, oxidative capacity, and impurity levels. Packaged in chemically resistant, airtight containers designed to prevent moisture intrusion and minimize degradation or hazardous reactions during storage and transport.

🔬 Properties
A dark, reddish-orange to deep red solution with extremely high acidity and strong oxidizing potential. Reacts vigorously with organic materials. Thermally unstable under improper storage conditions and may decompose, releasing toxic fumes. Must be stored in tightly sealed, compatible containers in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat, reducing agents, and combustible materials.

🧪 Applications
Used as a powerful laboratory cleaning agent for eliminating stubborn organic residues from glassware where other cleaning methods are insufficient. Provides deep oxidation of contaminants, resulting in highly clean surfaces for analytical workflows. Its use is increasingly restricted and often replaced with safer, environmentally friendly alternatives due to toxicity and disposal concerns.

⚠️ Safety
Extremely corrosive and highly toxic. Causes severe burns to skin, eyes, and respiratory tract. Inhalation of vapors or mist can be dangerous. Contact with organic materials may lead to violent reactions. Handle only with full protective equipment—including acid-resistant gloves, face protection, and appropriate ventilation. Store away from incompatible materials and dispose of according to hazardous waste regulations.
