SS Pickling Solution A

SS Pickling Solution A is a highly effective acid-based treatment solution designed for use in pharmaceutical and analytical laboratories to clean, descale, and restore stainless steel equipment and components, ensuring corrosion resistance and surface integrity.

🏭⚗️ Production
Prepared by carefully blending high-purity inorganic acids with corrosion inhibitors and wetting agents under controlled conditions. The formulation is standardized for acid concentration, metal removal efficiency, and residual inhibitor content. Supplied in acid-resistant, tightly sealed containers to prevent contamination, evaporation, and degradation. Quality control ensures consistency suitable for laboratory and pharmaceutical applications.

🔬 Properties
A clear to slightly tinted, strongly acidic aqueous solution. Highly reactive toward stainless steel oxide layers, weld discolorations, and heat-tinted surfaces. Excellent wetting and penetration capabilities allow uniform treatment of complex geometries. Non-flammable but highly corrosive and reactive with incompatible materials. Stable when stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area in sealed containers.

🧪 Applications
Used in pharmaceutical and laboratory environments for cleaning and restoring stainless steel vessels, reactors, piping, and fittings. Removes weld scale, oxide films, and heat tint while restoring the protective chromium-oxide passive layer. Suitable for immersion, circulation, or controlled spray applications. Surfaces must be thoroughly rinsed with deionized water after treatment and may undergo subsequent passivation for enhanced corrosion resistance and suitability for clean-room or sterile applications.

⚠️ Safety
Extremely corrosive and hazardous. Can cause severe chemical burns, eye injury, and respiratory irritation. Use in a fume hood or well-ventilated area with full protective equipment, including acid-resistant gloves, goggles or face shield, protective clothing, and apron. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and incompatible materials (strong bases, oxidizers, organics). Neutralize spills immediately (e.g., with lime or sodium bicarbonate) and dispose of according to institutional and environmental safety regulations. Store in a tightly closed, chemically resistant container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials.
