ائوزین وای

Eosin Y, also called C.I. 45380 or C.I. Acid Red 87, is a member of the triarylmethane dyes. It is produced from fluorescein by bromination.

Eosin Y has been used as a stain in the following contexts:
• To determine the location of brain sections
• For staining of fixed liver tissue
• For histological examination of brain sections from the dorsal hippocampus
Biochemical/Physiological Actions
Eosin Y is a xanthene dye used for the differential staining of connective tissue and cytoplasm. In histopathology, it is commonly applied as a counterstain after hematoxylin and before methylene blue. It also serves as a background stain, enhancing contrast for nuclear stains.
